Oceania Takeover?

I have heard from more than one source that Royal Caribbean is in negotiations to buy Oceania Cruises. Oceania has been very successful in the marketplace. This makes them a prime takeover candidate according to several sources. Royal Caribbean recently announced that they were purchasing Pullmantur recently. Along with Pullmantur's 2-former Renaissance ships and Oceania's 3-former Renaissance ships, Royal Caribbean would have control of 5 former Renaissance ships. If these reports of the takeover prove true, will Carnival sit by and let Royal Caribbean takeover Oceania? Only time will tell. I would love to see Oceania stay independent of the big boys but that is not the history in the cruise industry. Big fish swallow little fish.
